Over 2.8 million yuan of agricultural products from Baojing sold at 7-day expo

Recently, the 2024 Yueyang Tea Expo as well as the Yueyang Green Food Expo, was held in Yueyang City. Multiple enterprises in Baojing County participated in the expo, and the county’s quality agricultural and sideline products sold well, enhancing the brand awareness of its agricultural specialties. The participating enterprises sold 493,400 yuan of products through livestreaming and offline sales channels within seven days at this expo, and signed supply contracts of 2.314 million yuan.

This expo is a special event for the 30th anniversary of Yueyang’s paired-up assistance to Baojing County, which was held from October 18 to 24. Over 120 unique and excellent agricultural products from 18 enterprises in Baojing County were exhibited, including Baojing Golden Tea, Xianquan Soy Sauce and Cuiyu Kiwifruit.

In recent years, the city government of Yueyang City has worked to promote consumption assistance, increased farmers’ income, promoted rural revitalization and helped Baojing County sell various agricultural products worth over 100 million yuan. The county government of Baojing has actively sought cooperation and development opportunities with Yueyang City, and achieved significant results. Song Lujun, head of Xianquan Food Company in Baojing County, said that it’s expected to generate sales of 200,000 yuan through offline sales at this expo and subsequent orders. 

“Through this expo, local enterprises in Baojing County have been able to open up markets for agricultural products in other regions, expand their external sales channels, and bring high-quality rural specialties into a broader market. We will continue to build more solid cooperation platforms, give full play to the complementary resources and advantages of both places, cultivate characteristic industrial clusters, broaden agricultural product sales channels, and stimulate the endogenous driving force of rural economic development,” said Liu Chang, deputy head of Baojing County.
